Permafungi
PermaFungi is an eco-friendly circular economy project that has operated in the cellars of the Royal Depot at Tour & Taxis since 2014.
Every day, members of this social cooperative collect used coffee grounds to grow delicious oyster mushrooms.
PermaFungi produces 1 ton of fresh oyster mushrooms and 10 tons of natural fertilizer each month, while recycling 5 tons of coffee grounds.
Long live the circular economy! PermaFungi also offers visits, training and cultivation kits that allow people to grow mushrooms and recycle their own coffee grounds at home.
